LOGE Hospitality App
Agency: Catalysis
My Role: UI Design | UX Design | Wireframes | Production Design | Prototyping
Inspired by the surf, climbing, and camping culture of the 70s and the relaxed energy of a road trip with friends, LOGE inspires people to get out and explore together. We find forgotten motels near our favorite towns and trails and bring them back to life with a variety of ways to stay like hotel rooms, hostel bunks, and campsites. From on-site gear rentals to fire pits and free live music, we deliver a welcoming outdoor adventure-focused experience at each of our locations.
Problem:
LOGE customers were unsatisfied with the way they had to book their stay with LOGE. Their current website utilized multiple tools (3rd party websites) to book, view activities, view events, and rent gear. LOGE wanted an all-in-one solution to solve these issues.
Deliverables:
User Flow
Wireframes
Functional Prototype
Final Product
Old Process:
The old process brought the user to multiple websites depending on their needs. For example, to book a room, the user was brought to cloudbeds.com - an entirely off-branded experience.
Design Decisions
Based on the needs of the client and their customers, I focus on the following:
All in one Solution - the app
The app would replace the current booking process. Keeping it all within the brand, a unified experience. The app would also allow customers to search for places to stay based on the activities they are interested in, supply the check-in information to customers, a door key, and post/share images from their stay to the app.
User Flow
Combining all the previous tools and solutions required a complete rework of the user flow.
Wireframes
We looked to other successful hospitality/real-estate apps for inspiration such as AirBnB, Sonder, and RedFin, while developing our wireframes.
Updated Pallet
The current LOGE pallet was a little too limited to accomplish the color-based locations we wanted the app to feature. So the palette was slightly tweaked to include variants of key colors.
Build
Along with my design iterations, I supplied the client with functional prototypes so they could experience the app on their own devices.
